Maya the Bee is the main protagonist from The Adventures of Maya the Bee, a German comic book serial as well as an animated TV series published in the beginning of the 20th century. The story depicts the evolving of a little bee called Maya from a daring and bold little insect bee to a conscientious member of the adult bee society. She is helped in this process by her friend Willy, who is also a bee, Flip, a grasshopper, and her teacher Mrs Cassandra.
This play set, the Maya the Bee School Building Blocks set makes learning fun again! It features a large blackboard in the brick-built classroom, in which Maya and her dear friend Willy can now learn a great variety of things. Mrs Cassandra, the teacher, is really trying hard to teach her cute pupils by using a methodology and a way which is fun and simple to understand. However, between the different lessons, Willy and his friend Maya can play on the grand seesaw which is in the playground.
This interesting school set has as many as one hundred parts, and features a big green base plate, as well as a teacher’s desk, a variety of chairs and tables, a blackboard and a great big wall for the playground, as well as some pretty flowers and Maya the Bee stickers. Also, the set has the figurines of Mrs Cassandra and Willy, and of course, Maya the Bee (all three being bees). And, obviously, there is an instruction guide for constructing the set.
The recommended age is from 6 months to 5 years of age.
The dimensions of the box are the following: the length is 51.5 cm (or 20 inches), the height is 9 cm (or 3 and a half inches), and the width is 29 cm (or nearly 11 and a half inches).

The blocks are built from sturdy and good quality Lego-like plastic in the following colors: green, blue, red, yellow, orange, and many others.
The construction takes places as thus: first the green base is used, and then the plastic bricks are made use of in order to make a wall background for the school. Following that, the classroom is constructed from yellow and orange bricks. And then, the seesaw is placed next to the tables and chairs. Last but not least, there is the teacher’s desk with blocks for learning math.
