If nowadays the new Jamaican talents are influenced by hip-hop and R&B, in the Seventies it was soul music that played a major role. Throughout their long career, spanning nearly four decades, the uptown rebels Third World have tempered down their tones of Rasta militancy with their soft vocal harmonies. The combination of reggae and soul has created a vital and refined music style, whose class is universally acknowledged. All those who have never seen them playing live, shouldn’t miss them this summer, when they will feature once again in our festival.
