抗战时期晋察冀三省交界处的北方小城，青云刚嫁到丁家堡，就因日军偷袭而失去丈夫，青云化悲痛为力量，凭借惊人的毅力和智慧，带领全村妇女顽强抵抗日军，誓死保卫家园。起初，青云仅能靠着祖传的拳脚功夫组织女子抗战队被动躲避敌人的迫害，将老百姓陆续转移到安全区。青云不屈不挠、勇敢无畏的精神，深深打动了驻扎在当地保护共产党物资站的八路军战士何生亮。在何生亮的引导和帮助下，女子抗战队愈战愈勇，还积极发动群众秘密开展工人运动，给了日军致命的打击
