Shirley Bassey - It Could Happen To You (1962 Recording)

1962 (Shirley Bassey recorded this wonderful song back in 1962, but it was not released under 1994 on one of her compilation CDs. This song just reminds me of Hawaii, spring, a soft breeze, and falling in love, not necessarily in that order. So, I've included some great pictures of one of my favorite vacation destinations. Shirley's golden voice is utter perfection on this one, so it's a mystery why this song wasn't included on one of her early 60's LPs. It's a mystery!

ABOUT this song:
"It Could Happen to You" is a popular standard with music by Jimmy Van Heusen and lyrics by Johnny Burke. The song was written in 1944 and was introduced by Dorothy Lamour in the Paramount musical comedy film, And the Angels Sing. A recording by Jo Stafford was released by Capitol Records as catalog number 158. It reached the Billboard magazine Best Seller chart on September 21, 1944 at #10, its only week on the chart.
