DanO | Mean 16

The Rapfest returns with another edition of their Mean Sixteen segment, in which a Rapfest member is given the platform to show their talents over some grade A production. Today, newcomer DanO flexes his lyrical muscle over some production by acclaimed duo The HEATMAKERS, which was featured in the Rapfest Series 4 cipher. Hailing from the outskirts of Philadelphia in Westampton, NJ, DanO keeps things gritty but decides to take things the philosophical route as he shares self aware lines such as, "people line up for phones, and some line up for shoes/ they probably think they’re cool but never line up for school." DanO makes great use of his membership to Rapfest, separating himself from his peers by mixing his aggressive lyrical delivery with knowledge of self idioms, character defining traits that exemplify why he was selected for the Mean Sixteen. With his forthcoming single featuring Mike Zombie due for release, we look forward to having DanO spit some of his mind elevation raps in our ciphers.
