DES MOINES, IOWA — The GOP presidential candidates will face off Thursday in their last debate before next week's Iowa caucuses, but this time apparently without frontrunner Donald Trump, who said he likely won't participate in the next Republican showdown.

Trump has cried wolf several times about skipping debates, but his campaign confirmed on Tuesday night that he would indeed be sitting out the Fox News/Google-hosted debate due to his displeasure that Megyn Kelly would be one of the moderators.

The billionaire has slammed Kelly for being a "lightweight" who is biased against him. Trump has said he doesn't think Kelly treats him fairly.

Fox News responded by backing Kelly, while at the same time joking that the Ayatollah and Putin would also treat Trump unfairly if he were to become president.

Will Trump actually stick to his word and skip out on the next debate? Will Fox's ratings suffer by not having the frontrunner center stage?
