For the cultish group of fisherman who ascribe to be tog aficionados, defeating the record Blackfish of 25 pounds set by Anthony, Monica on January 20th, 1998 has existed as the pinnacle of angling prowess. For nearly 17 years, intrepid Blackfish junkies have been dropping crabs into the depths of the Atlantic and offering silent prayers to the tog gods in hopes of hooking such a mythological beast. Then on January 2nd this year, the unfathomable happened. Kenneth Westerfeld of College Point, Queens took down the Kraken; a 28.80 pound Togzilla.
