An episode of the early television comedy "The Ed Wynn Show". His special guest is Dinah Shore, who sings "Blues In the Night" and "Tea for Two". Also appearing is dancer Miriam LaVelle in her only known television appearance. Contains the original commercials for Speidel watch-bands. "The Ed Wynn Show" (which premiered in 1949) was the first, network TV show to originate from Los Angeles. All others at the time (Berle, Sullivan, Show of Shows, Godfrey, etc) came from New York. Since the network cable did not reach all the way to Los Angeles until 1951, the Wynn show was seen back East a week later on kinescope (a film shot from a TV set carrying the live show). What you see here is one of those kinescope films. (Thanks to viewer lampshade51 for the extra information)
