Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan visited various areas in the city to inspect the development projects. He was accompanied by Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and other officials. A statement said that the governor reviewed ongoing work on Malir 15 Flyover and directed the officials concerned that it should be completed at the earliest and hurdles for people be removed.
The governor also inspected the work on Lyari Expressway’s 2.2km portion. Dr Ebad directed the officials concerned to complete the work as per the scheduled time.He said that a special package had been prepared for Karachi wherein there was allocation in accordance with the projects.
Replying to a question, the governor said that the Rangers were doing a good job. “Law and order is a big problem, for which the personnel of law enforcement agencies are sacrificing their lives.”He said that the operation against terrorists was initiated on the demand of political parties and at that time the situation of law and order in the country was very bad. “Now we have no option but to win this war against terrorism.”
The governor paid tributes to the Pakistan Army, Rangers, police and law enforcement institutions.He said that for legislation and other matters in the drive against terrorism and militancy, all the political parties were consulted and their input was sought.In case of any complaints, these can be resolved, the governor added.
