A Taiwanese man in his 40s was pulled from rubble from the 6.4 earthquake in Tainan at 12pm, Monday.

Both of the man's legs and his right arm were pinned beneath fallen rubble for more than 50 hours and risked losing his life to Rhabdomyolysis. Rescuers had initially wanted to amputate his limbs to rescue him. He was eventually pulled out after rescuers removed rubble beneath his body.
