Newgrange solstice 2007

On December 21st & 22nd 2007, the Irish Office of Public Works (OWP) broadcast for the first time live on the internet the winter solstice sun shining directly along the long passage into the chamber for about 17 minutes as it rises and illuminates the chamber floor.
This commemorated the re-discovery of this event by Professor MJ O'Kelly on December 21, 1967.
