Beautiful footage of a sun 'pillar' forming at sunset in central Russia.
The video, filmed in January this year, shows the halo-like phenomenon which in this instance involves a vertical shaft of light stretching down from the sun towards the ground.
"Typically seen during sunrise or sunset, sun pillars form when sunlight reflects off the surfaces of ice crystals associated with thin, high-level clouds," the filmer later wrote online.
