How to extract and compress files with WinRar

Now that you've downloaded Winrar, you can open documents within .rar files. To do this, double click on the file. You’ll see the the WinRar program opens and you can view documents in the file. If you double-click, you can even see a preview of them. To open them outside Win.rar, you must extract them. Select all the files you want to outside the .rar file and hit "Extract." You have to choose a destination folder, in this example Images, but it could be the desktop if you wanted. Select Okay, and then just go to the folder - the files will already be there. If you want to compress multiple documents to save hard-drive space, and manage all your files in a single place, first open WinRAR. Browse the folder where you have the documents, and select all files you want to compress. Now click the "Add" button and choose a destination folder. This time, we will create a file on the desktop and change the name. Click Okay. Now, on the desktop you can already see that it has created your WinRar archive, will all the desired documents inside.
