Color from the Dark is set against the backdrop of the intense World War II of the 1940’s. We are introduced to Lucia and Pietro who stay with Alice in a secluded farm. Alice is 23 years old. She is the younger sister of Lucia and is plagued with serious mental issues. All of them live humble lives and till the soil like poor farmers. Pietro has a deformed knee because of which he has not gone to war like his three brothers. He is strong and good as a worker. Lucia is a reserved woman who is very beautiful. They lead a peaceful and good life in spite of the isolation and hard work. However, one day, Alice and Pietro stir something at the bottom of the well while trying to draw water from it. Consequently, something from the womb of the Earth is released. An alien and strange color flashes underwater at the bottom of the well and then disappears. This triggers a series of incomprehensible events that happen around the farm, such as the surrounding vegetation shines with an evil glow at night. Soon, the entire farm comes under the grip of the color, including the minds of Pietro and his family members who get sucked into its sick world of blood, pain and death.
