1) The first tip which doesn't apply to everyone, but for most people is to book everything through a travel agent.

When I first got to New Delhi I used a travel agent to find a place to stay. I stayed at really nice place and it was incredibly cheap. Then I tried to get my own place and saved a dollar, but it was a complete shithole. Plus it was a massive headache. I was consistently trying to figure out how much I would of payed without a travel agent and I would not have saved that much money by setting it all up on my own. It was worth it for India. Other places like Cambodia, Thailand I set everything up myself and it's easy. India is hard to travel around.

2) The second tip is if you don't want to be hassled by beggars or people trying to sale you things on the street don't look at the person, don't talk to them and keep walking. There was numerous times when me being nice was like no I'm not interested and a street salesperson wouldn't not leave me a lone. I would be saying “Jow” it's Hindi for go away a lot.

3) The third tip is to eat the street food. So many people on the Internet say “don't eat the street food” I disagree. I ate street food all over India many times and I only got sick once. That was from a restaurant. It was extremely spicy food. With street food you see the kitchen with a restaurant you don't. Plus it's part of the experience. Get your vaccines. They are really cheap in India and enjoy the food.

4) Number four I would recommend using a Steripen. In India they burn plastic bottles which destroy the air. There is PCB poising from plastic. I used a Steripen all over India again I was fine. You save money and it's great to have. I go over this more if you click the link below.

5) Number 5 is to sleep a lot, There are so many things that will overload your senses that sleeping and doing nothing just gives you balance and it's healthy. Take an easy, because it's easy to get stressed out in India.
