Orioles Manny Machado ejected after fight with Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura

A fight erupted between Orioles third baseman Manny Machado and Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura after the latter plunked the Gold Glover with a 100 MPH fastball. Both players were ejected from the game following their spat which saw Machado charge the mound, throw a punch and slam Ventura on the ground. "Everybody knows what kind of player he is," Ventura said through an interpreter. "One just got away and he came at me." Meanwhile, Machado, who was warned by his manager before the at-bat that Ventura may attempt to hit him, said "I don't regret anything. It's part of the game. Reactions fly. When somebody's throwing 99 at you, it's going to hurt. You can ruin someone's career." Both Machado and Ventura are likely to be suspended.
