A char-producing single-burner rice husk gasifier stove developed by Alexis Belonio of Carbon Neutral Commons to provide rural households a clean and efficient cookstove while, at the same time, producing quality char as by-product. With this innovation, farmers can now produce good quality char as they cook their meals. And, the char they produced can be used as soil amendment for their farm. More importantly, farmers can also help in mitigating greenhouse gas emission by sequestering carbon from the atmosphere as they prepare meals for their families.
