#21

This is about a beautiful girl who came to live the American dream from Siberia, Russia, only to suffer from cancer and die right after she got her citizenship. She did not complain at all, even while dying. She was brave and strong all the way until the end. This song is not meant in anything way to diminish her beauty, but to only to show how unjust things can be, as many say, life is just not fair. Even when she thought she might die near the end, she only wanted everyone else she loved to be happy and live long and well. This is one of the many things that made her so great and special. We will always love you and be with you, my dear friend.

Not that she would have ever asked, but I would have given my life for her without hesitation.

As she spoke both English and Russian, this is the companion song to the Russian version already available.

One of the hospitals she went to, Monmouth Medical, was actually where I was born.

The gun her cousin in Moscow gave me. The knife actually my father gave me, but he of course knew her, and also suffered from cancer. It was his Monmouth sweatshirt I wore at the Monmouth racetrack, where I was with her before.

Kenneth Nicolas took Lena and I to the airport the first time to get her mother Olga and sister Maria. He was working for Uber Taxi at the time, but did us a favor. Good friend. We tipped him with some pastries.

A lot of the scenes are symbolic to her. She loved 7 Eleven coffee. That is her boogie board. That ring she gave me. That silver shiny necklace was hers. As stated in the song, she lived by the shore, by Asbury Park at one point.

She mentioned Gucci Guilty a few times, and after she had her first surgery, I bought that for her. She never got to use all of it. But this is why I used the Guilty fonts for some of the text (by Billy Argel and Guilty Misprinted Type). The other little perfumes in the picture, Coco Chanel Noir, Laundry by Shelli Segal, and the cards, Dolce & Gabbana, Katy Perry Killer Queen, all hers. The photos in the same photo we when we were doing our passports/visas together. And of course the Aeroflot plane tickets.

Most, if not all, of the scenes were related to where she lived, had been or we were there together. The Wawa and Dunkin Donuts were all by where she lived or we were at together. We were there many times getting coffee and what not! And of course 7 Eleven, her favorite. That Rook coffee is also special, because I never had a chance to try it until after her death, but she said it was very good coffee to try.

She studied at Brookdale, and she was all set to take classes at Ocean County, until she got sick ...
