Celebrations carried on into the morning after Portugal beat hosts France 1-0 to win Euro 2016.

The squad is arriving in Lisbon today, where they’ll get a welcome befitting the champions of Europe.

Back on his feet as they left Paris, Cristiano Ronaldo showed no signs of the injury that took him off the pitch in tears last night.

The hero of the match for Portugal was, undoubtedly, Eder. The 28-year-old forward fired in a powerful goal from 25 yards affording his team the win with just 11 minutes to go.

Portuguese legend Eusebio has also played his part in helping the team to victory. A plane named after the striker, who died in 2014, transported the players to and from the competition.
