In the wake of the vote to leave the European Union, some in Britain are reporting a surge in racist taunts, threats and worse.
On a passenger train in Manchester, two teenagers and an adult were arrested after verbally abusing other passengers about their ethnicity.
Some Londoners are hoping to promote tolerance. Meanwhile politicians have denounced the attacks, likening racist language to xenophobia. Immigration was a big issue in the EU vote. Those wanting to take Britain out of the EU say that will make it easier for the country to control its borders.
