K. Roosevelt's "Motion" is break-up music.

Hit-Boy affiliate K. Roosevelt is working towards the release of an upcoming project called Neon Haze. Yesterday, he released the project's second single, "Motion." It's a story of a two people in a relationship who've grown apart, and have now reached the point of no return: they're about to break up.

K. Roosevelt's songwriting is compact, vivid, and effective. He imbues every word with purpose and emotion, despite the fact the song is about the absence of emotion. The production conveys a keen sense of the inevitable passing of time. Good music for thinking out driving. Watch out for the sensuous guitar outro.

Quotable Lyrics

Falling outta focus
Put too many games up
We need something different
Going through the motions
Running from emotions
