I found a great hobby to play with kids. It requires a GPS capable device or smart phone to follow the coordinates that are posted online, but other than that its a very affordable and fun hobby to do with your kids.

Geocaching, com is the site that is most popular but there are a few others as well.
People hide "treasures" all over in places from parks to trails to urban environments like parks, and bus stops etc.

The hobby has a great following in the Vancouver BC and surrounding area, hundreds of cool caches to find in every city Ive looked up... Kids really enjoy the adventure of it, and its great to get them excited about going out for a walk and getting some fresh air....

Also it makes a walk more fun for the parent as the walk becomes more of a game of hide and seek. Once you learn how the game works, and find a few stashes, you can even stash your own cache for fellow hunters to find.

It really is alot of fun, I made this video at least a year ago.... But figured you guys might be interested, as I know some of you are parents... :)
