Cameron Brown started kicking balls from a very young age. He played youth soccer for Solar Soccer Club and Naaman Forrest High School, where he was named Parade All-American. He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2007-2012 where he was named First Team All-South Region and Second Team All-ACC, and won the 2011 NCAA College Cup Championship. In 2013, Major League Soccer (MLS) team FC Dallas selected him in the Supplemental Draft after having dealt with a knee injury that left him out of the field for 23 months. However, after trying out in four different outdoor teams and facing several disappointments, Brown decided to try luck with the Dallas Sidekicks.
Brown earned honorable mention for the league's all-rookie team for 2014-15. Recently Cameron Brown has been invited to play in two MASL International Challenges. Last year Cameron led the team in scoring with 26 goals and 11 assists.
