While most of us only have pot-bellies to remember Christmas by, it seems the festive season got those in celeb-land in the mood for luuurve and a lucky few have managed to bag themselves a new flame.
Danny from McFly dumped his girlfriend of two years for Miss England, Laura Coleman, and while we can't help feeling sorry for his ex, there's probably nobody better to be dumped for. Meanwhile, Rihanna is widely believe to have gotten engaged to her RnB boyfriend Chris Brown, mainly due to the rock she's sporting being the size of a small continent, hmmm subtle and understated. Very classy.
But the real talking point has been good old Lily Allen, who gave our chins something to wag about when she hooked up with millionaire art dealer Jay Jopling, who just so happens to be friends her old man and is 22 years her senior.
Apparently she has developed the taste for silver foxes claiming:
"I think I like much older men. I hang out with much older people, I go for dinners at posh places and talk about art. I'm meeting more interesting people who tax my brain."
But whilst her dates to Pizza Express may be exciting, we can't help but feel that Lily's fumblings with a man twice her age are just a little bit gross.
That got us thinking, when it comes to relationships, what age gaps are acceptable and when does it just become WRONG. We went to the red-carpet launch of Cirque Du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall to find out what very important people like, er... David Van Day thought about the issue.
