NEW YORK — It’s widely known Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin are mutual fans of one another.

Last week, Putin praised the billionaire real estate mogul for energizing U.S. voters “tired of the elites” while continuing to deny that Russia is attempting to influence the presidential election, NBC News reported.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security accused the Kremlin of hacking the Democratic National Committee email servers earlier this year, according to NBC News.

Clinton’s campaign has blamed the Russians of hacking campaign chairman John Podesta’s email account, although Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has denied Russia’s involvement in giving him materiel, NBC News reported.

Trump for his part has thrown praise on Putin time and time again throughout his campaign.

How will their relationship grow if Trump gets into the White House? Guess we’ll all have to wait and see.
