NEW YORK — The NYPD is on a manhunt for a cold-blooded killer who ended a total stranger’s life with a vicious sucker punch to the head.

CBS New York reports that just after midnight on June 26, Patrick Gorman was walking home to his Briarwood, Queens home. He was near the corner of Queens Boulevard and Main Street when a man walked up behind him and delivered a sucker punch to his face.

A video recently released by the New York Police Department shows the punch, as well as the aftermath of Gorman struggling to stand up. A woman is seen turning the corner and joining the man, and both walk away calmly as Gorman remains on the ground.

Gorman was taken to the hospital but died the next day. The New York Post reports that according to the medical examiner, he died from a combination of blunt force trauma to the head, and complications from a stroke and heart condition. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Police have yet to identify the suspects, but released the surveillance footage of the incident in the hope that someone will recognize them.
