The man surnamed Yang was depositing the 30,000 yuan at a local Postal Saving Bank in Yancheng, Jiangsu province. Surveillance camera footage from outside the bank shows Yang accidentally dropping the huge pile of cash onto the ground. The wind then begins to scatter the bills away.
Yang let out a cry of anguish, which caused a bank worker suranmed Sun to rush out. "She didn't care that it was raining outside, she just helped me pick up the money as fast as she could. She didn't even care about getting her shoes wet, she would run right into a puddle," Yang recounted to reporters afterward.
The woman was joined by more bank workers, as well as a few passersby. In the end, they gathered up the 30,000 yuan that Yang had lost, not a single jiao was missing.
After all the cash had been collected, the bank manager had his staff grab towels and a hair dryer to help get the money dry. Yang thanked everyone profusely for their efforts.
