Amtrak Special Train! AMTK 156 Over Tehachapi Loop

Let's take a look at a special Amtrak train in southern California! On May 30th, 2016, Amtrak executives made a special journey on an Amtrak train from Los Angeles to the San Joaquin Valley over Cajon and Tehachapi Passes. The trip had two purposes. The primary reason was to travel to Sacramento in celebration of the completion of the last of 70 new electric ACS-64 locomotives built by Siemens. The second was to discuss with local politicians about expanding Amtrak San Joaquin service. All aboard!
