Russian army in Military Exercises on a Large Scale in Caucasus 2016

From September 5 to 10, the Russian army conducted a dozen special exercises designed to test the use of means of destruction of marine groups, parachuting troops and the amphibious assault carried out under the aviation coverage shipbuilding. The maneuvers were held in the border area with Ukraine, the peninsula (attached) of Crimea and the North Caucasus. A total of 12 500 soldiers were mobilized.
