Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, 'Special 26', directed by Neeraj Pandey, is based on real-life incidents which involve the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as a part of the storyline. Now, sources claim that the CBI has ordered the makers to hold a special screening of the film to check if it has been showed in poor light.
'Special 26' is based on a jewellery heist in 1983 Bombay (now Mumbai), where conmen posing as CBI officials robbed stores. While Manoj Bajpayee plays the role of a CBI official, Akshay will be essaying the character of a fake officer. Sources revealed that given the circumstances these days, no one associated with film projects want to take even the smallest risk of being misinterpreted and that everyone wants to make sure they are presented in good light and their sentiments are not hurt. Hence, even the CBI wants to see the film before its scheduled release.
Sources further added that the screening will take place early next week.
