Ever since the first look launch of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine, there has been a lot of comparison between the flick and Vidya Balan's blockbuster The Dirty Picture, as both the films revolve around the downfall of a star. However the leading lady of Heroine Kareena Kapoor claims that there is no similarity between the two movies.
"There is absolutely no similarity between The Dirty Picture and Heroine. No shot or frame of my movie is similar to the film and I think when people will see Heroine they will know that this is a story of a declining superstar. It's not a struggle of coming from a small town, trying to make it big, then being successful and then the downfall. It's a completely different story altogether," said Kareena.
While TDP revolved around the life of South siren Silk Smitha, Kareena reveals that her character, Mahie Arora, is fictitious and that they took inspiration from Hollywood and Bollywood actresses for it.
Starring Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda alongside Kapoor, Madhur's magnum opus is all set to release on September 21, 2012.
