Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov invited members of President-elect Donald Trump's incoming administration to attend Syria talks in Kazakhstan. "We hope that the new administration will be able to accept that proposal...the first opportunity to discuss a more efficient fight against terrorism in Syria," Lavrov said during a news conference. Lavrov noted that Russia is motivated by Trump's cooperation to fight terrorism. He also added that Russian officials expect to reach an agreement more swiftly with Trump's team than under the Obama administration.
