The women of the Now Beat Generation are strong, dynamic innovative and fearless. I have always searched for the indescribable, the cutting edge, the timeless and the most inspirational and abstract art and artists. Are you looking for something that is just real? Tired of all the male sausage fests with boasting and jocking in your cipher? Do you like to see women push buttons, turn knobs and play instruments? Well I do. I decided to write this in order to not only acknowledge some of the dope producers and songwriters I know but to especially highlight the queens I know who do more than their share everyday just to make a way for us to feel better.

Tapping into frequencies to appease, draw in and heal the listener. Offering a voice to the voiceless and consistently breaking stereotypes. These women fiercely forget their ways through the stale male world of beat swapping, beat biting and beat jocking. The women I'm covering in this piece are not just or only producers; they also see their musical projects through to final details of artwork, distribution, correspondence and more. These women continually educate and empower through their art, propelling the craft forward within the crumbling structure of school systems, labels and boxes.

These teachers, mothers, artivists, healers, transmitters, dope, fly, funky, gifted, talented, supa queens armed with mission and volition continue to inspire me and the world to be unique, authentic, and be not afraid to share who you are with the world.
