The Legend of Korra is an American animated television series that aired on the Nickelodeon television network from new to new. It was created by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino as a sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender, which aired from 2005 to 2008. The series has been a critical and commercial success, drawing favorable comparisons with the HBO series Game of Thrones and the work of Hayao Miyazaki. It has been praised by reviewers for its production values and for addressing sociopolitical issues such as social unrest and terrorism, as well as for going beyond the established boundaries of youth entertainment with respect to issues of race, gender and ual identity.\r
\r
Drawn in a style strongly influenced by Japanese animation, the series is set in a fictional universe in which some people can manipulate, or bend, the elements of water, earth, fire, or air. Only one person, the Avatar, can bend all four elements, and is responsible for maintaining balance in the world. The series follows Avatar Korra, the reincarnation of Aang from the previous series, as she faces political and spiritual unrest in a modernizing world.\r

The Legend of Korra recent news:\r
The Legend of Korra saw success as an online-exclusive show after it was pulled from Nickelodeons regular TV broadcasting, and with Netflixs branding the franchise could be taken to new hights. Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino would ideally be returning as head producers, as well as all those involved with the creation of both Avatar series. Where the story would progress is up to them; perhaps a continuation of Aangs story? (The Last Airbender). Perhaps a story about another Avatar, such as Roku? The possibilities are endless, and its practically guaranteed that the show would be successful on Netflix; the one place that can do the franchise justice.\r
