Buchanan Street cordoned off after late night bank van robbery

Police in the city centre have cordoned off a busy street following a robbery on Monday night.

An area stretching from Buchanan Street to Sauchiehall Street has been closed to the public after a G4S van was robbed outside the Royal Bank of Scotland on Sauchiehall Street.

A police spokeswoman said: "The incident happened at around 9.50pm on Monday night.

"Nobody was injured as a result of the incident and inquries are continuing."
