ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) wrote a letter to Principal Secretary of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif seeking the details of expenses of the premier’s Jati Umra residence, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

The letter, written by PTI’s Andaleeb Abbas, has asked the Principal Secretary of the prime minister to provide authentic details of expenses of prime minister’s Jati Umra residence in Lahore.

“Why Jati Umra has been given the status of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s camp office?, PTI leader has asked in the letter.

“How many of the PM’s houses have been given the status of camp offices,” the letter further asked.

The party also asked whether the amount — spent on the security of Sharif’s residence — will be refunded in the treasury.

“Who pays the utility and other expenses of the house?” the letter further said.

Why 2700 police officers have been deployed for the security of Sharif family and who pays its expenses, PTI letter further inquired. The party has requested to the secretary to provide an authentic copy of the government record.
