3D Touch measures the force pressing on the screen. This video shows that this features makes it possible to use the iPhone 6s as kitchen scale. Everything you see in this video is real, do not treat it too seriously, the iPhone screen can not detect all objects. The weight can only be measured when the touch screen detects a touch; objects made of plastic, wood won’t be detected. Fruit and vegetables do work fine. Also the object should touch small screen area, flat objects distribute the weight over a wide area and result in inaccurate measurements.
