Make a batch for your next party. Or just spend the weekend sitting on the porch, rocking your cares away.

How to make Bourbon Sweet Tea:

Makes 1 gallon (about 16 glasses)

4 cups Boiling water
1 cup Sugar
12 Black tea bags
6 cups Cold water
3 cups Crushed ice, plus more for serving
3 cups (24 oz) Bourbon (about one 750ml bottle)
Garnish: Mint sprigs and lemon slices
Glass: Highball or double Old Fashioned

Combine the boiling water and sugar in a heatproof container.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add the tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
Remove tea bags and discard.
Pour the tea base into a heatproof pitcher or serving jar.
Add the cold water, ice and bourbon.
Stir well, and refrigerate until serving.
To serve, pour into an ice-filled highball glass or double Old Fashioned glass.
Garnish with mint and lemon slices.
