The car’s technology goes beyond surviving crashes — it can move drivers back into their lane if they drift too far, and can steer itself around objects that suddenly appear on the road. Volvo also has a semi-autonomous option where the car drives itself on clearly-marked roads. With their new technology, the company hopes to eliminate fatalities in new Volvos by 2020.
