Israel Test Launches Anti-Missile Interceptor

by Jeff DonlanAn anti-missile interceptor is being tested in Israel. It’s called David’s Sling, and is designed to shoot down medium- to long-range rockets. David’s Sling uses radar and an electro-optic guided system to track missiles. The test launch is part of Israel’s multi-tier air defense system. This system also includes the Iron Dome, which is used to intercept short-range missiles. David’s Sling is expected to be fully operational in early April.
