AT&T and Verizon pull ads from YouTube over hate videos

AT&T and Verizon are pulling advertisements from YouTube over concerns that their ads appear in videos promoting terrorism and hate speech. 'The Times' published an article on how the Google owned video company doesn’t accurately prevent ads from appearing in front of controversial videos. AT&T wrote in a statement that they will remove their ads from YouTube until Google can ensure it will not happen again. In a similar statement, Verizon said that they are launching an investigation to understand the weak links in where their advertisements appear. In response to the pull, Google promised the brands that they will have more control over where their advertisements appear in the future.
