Ivanka Trump will have an official White House position

After months of speculation, Ivanka Trump is finally joining the White House in an official role.

President Donald Trump's eldest daughter will be an unpaid employee working in the West Wing.
Her official title will be assistant to the president. She is joining her husband, Jared Kushner, who has the title of senior adviser, and also does not get paid.

“I have heard the concerns some have with my advising the president in my personal capacity while voluntarily complying with all ethics rules and I will instead serve as an unpaid employee in the White House Office, subject to all of the same rules as other federal employees,” Ivanka Trump said in a statement issued by the White House.

In the couple of months since her father became president, Ivanka, 35, has been a regular presence at the White House, where she already has an office.
