BEHIND THE SCENES - FC Barcelona, to Qatar and back with a friendly in between
FC Barcelona's flying visit to Doha was full of frenetic activity. The Qatari capital hosted the Catalans in order to play a friendly against Al-Ahly FC which ended in a 5-3 victory for Luis Enrique's men. The city showed its passion for Barça from when the team landed until they left approximately 24 hours later.
Headed by the president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, the group was accompanied in at all times. In fact, the ex-Barça players Xavi Hernández and Seydou Keita; members of the Qatari royal family; the CEO of Qatar Airways, Abkar Al Baker; and the athlete Mutaz Essa Barshim all visited the team in their hotel before the Qatar Airways Cup game.

Actividad frenética del FC Barcelona en Doha. La capital de Qatar, que recibió la expedición azulgrana con motivo del amistoso jugado contra el Al-Ahli Saudí FC (3-5), se volcó con el equipo, que recibió innumerables muestras de apoyo. Desde que aterrizaron hasta la hora de partir, aproximadamente 24 horas después, los jugadores del primer equipo y del cuerpo técnico comprobaron, en primera persona, la pasión por el Barça.
Encabezado por el presidente Josep Maria Bartomeu, todo el grupo estuvo acompañado en todo momento. De hecho, los ex azulgranas Xavi Hernández y Seydou Keita; miembros de la familia real qatarí; el CEO de Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker; y el atleta Mutaz Essa Barsha visitaron al equipo en el hotel, antes del duelo correspondiente a la Qatar Aiways Cup.
