Frozen Fever Short Film First Look

Prepare to get another Frozen themed song stuck in your head for the next several months as we’ve got a look at the upcoming short film, Frozen Fever. It’s been over a year since Disney’s Frozen arrived in theaters and became the highest grossing animated movie of all-time and though we still don’t know if there will be a sequel, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf are all set to arrive in theaters again this March in the form of a short film that will play in front of Disney’s live-action version of Cinderella. The short will focus on Anna planning a birthday for Elsa, but things go horribly wrong when Elsa gets a cold. In an interview with USA Today, Frozen directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, who reunited for the short, explained that Elsa, because she has magical powers, doesn’t get a cold in the usual way and surprising things happen that wreak a little havoc on the festivities. The short takes place sometime after the events of the first film and a lot has changed. Elsa has lightened up considerably and the sisters family has grown with the additions of Kristoff, his reindeer Sven and Olaf. A family portrait, inspired by the website Awkward Family Photos, hangs in the castle. The kingdom has also changed with the birthday taking place in the summer, celebrating the warm weather. Of course, it wouldn’t be Frozen without a song and the team behind the Oscar winning “Let It Go” have written a new song that Josh Gad, who voices Olaf, says kids will go nuts for and I’m sure the rest of us will be unsuccessfully trying to get out of our heads. So who’s excited for more Frozen adventures and do you plan on seeing Frozen Fever when it arrives in front of Cinderella on March 13th?
