Woman Dies After Knife Attack on Jerusalem Light Railway

Israeli police confirmed that a young woman died after being repeatedly stabbed on a train in West Jerusalem on Friday, April 14.The woman, who has been described as being in her 20s by various official sources in Israel, sustained multiple injures when a man said to be from Rasel Amud in the West Bank attacked her on the city’s light railway near Tzahal Square, also known as Allenby Square.Micky Rosenfeld‏, foreign press spokesman for Israeli police, later tweeted that the woman had died in hospital.Various reports described her as being a British student, however there was no confirmation of her nationality at the time of writing.
