Born on November 26, 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee Tina Turner became a star performing with husband, Ike Turner. She divorced him in 1978, after years of abuse, and reinvented herself as a solo performer. She's had a number one hit with "What's Love Got to Do With It," acted in a Mad Max film, and recorded a James Bond theme.
