Buy a Replacement Hood Latch here: https://goo.gl/Vh4cRI

This is a video of me replacing my broken hood latch on my 2001 Ford Ranger. It should be the process for many if not all hood latches that are broken (especially the Ford Explorer or Mazda B Series trucks which closely resemble the Ford Ranger). I also explain how I jerry-rigged the hood latch to make it work until I received the brand new hood latch to replace the broken one with. This is my first vehicle repair video and I hope it helps you as I've learned a lot about repairing my own things by watching YouTube videos.

You should replace a broken hood latch ASAP as your hood could open suddenly while driving and cause a serious accident to you or others. I take no responsibility in the use of this video to fix your vehicle. You are repairing your vehicle at your own risk.

Materials needed:
- 5.5mm socket wrench (to take off guard on Ford Ranger)
- 8mm wrench (to remove 2 bolts holding hood latch onto vehicle)
- New Hood Latch for your vehicle (can search online for part or go to dealership - some auto part stores might carry your hood latch but you need to check as no stores in my area had the hood latch for my Ford Ranger)

P.S. The watery substance in the video is just WD-40....nothing leaking
