No relief for Janhavi Gadkar, Court extends her custody

There is no relief for corporate lawyerJanhavi Gadkar for the time being. The Kurla magistrate court on Friday extended the judicial custody of the Chembur resident till July 10. Gadkar is accused of mowing down two people with her car in an inebriated state. Turning down the bail plea of the 35-year-old accused, the court presided over by judge Richa Khedekar maintained that the charges levelled against her serious and it was possible that she could influence the witnesses if let out of jail now. Gadkar was arrested on June 10, hours after she rammed her Audi car into a taxi on the Eastern Freeway.
