Beginning in 1981 and ending in 1989 the Cannonball Run Trilogy was the most famous car movie series of the 1980s featuring a list of famous stars (Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Jackie Chan, John Candy, Melody Anderson, Donna Dixon) and a list of famous cars (Aston Martin DB5, Lamborghini Countach, Mitsubishi Starion). Put them together and you have a blend of action and comedy which has never been equalled.
