On May 18, the 11th convoy of Syrian rebels and their families left Homs’ besieged neighborhood of al-Waer as part of a resettlement agreement that the Syrian government claims will help end fighting in the area.Syrian opposition media reports claim Russian forces are expected to enter al-Waer in the coming days following the completion of evacuations from the area. Approximately 1,000 rebels and their families were involved in the convoy which will send some towards the opposition-held city of Idlib, while others are headed further north towards the city of Jarablus in Aleppo province.
